Nuday eink calendar by VEEB Projects

For your nüday calendar to display the correct date and auto-update every day at midnight, it needs to connect to WiFi:

Steps

  1. Connect your nüday to power using the supplied USB cable. No computer needed. Just power.

  2. On your phone or PC, scan for WiFi networks and connect to veebprojects.

  3. A setup page will appear. Enter your WiFi name and WIFI password. (This data stays on your device and goes nowhere else.)

  4. If you want to choose the language the calendar displays in, the light mode and input a cake day where the icon will show once a year, then you can fill out these optional fields. If you ever want to change them, just power on the device and with a sharp object, press the reset button on the side. After a few moments the device will display the link to this page and the you can perform the setup again.

  5. Tap ‘Connect’ on the web page. The clock will now attempt to connect to your network. If successful it will grab the time and begin to adjust after a delay of about one minute.

It Worked!

Once connected, your calendar will sync daily. It also resyncs whenever it's plugged in again. The hard work is over. Celebrate by taking a moment to listen to an excellent song that is almost about your calendar.

Troubleshooting

If It Doesn’t Work

If setup fails (e.g. incorrect Wi-Fi password), the nüday Wi-Fi will reappear as the veebprojects network so you can try again.

The device connects using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, which is supported by most home routers. If you're having trouble connecting, your router may be set to use only the 5 GHz band, which isn’t compatible. This can happen with newer routers that combine both bands under a single network name.

To resolve this, check your router settings to make sure 2.4 GHz is enabled, or try creating a separate 2.4 GHz network (often called a “guest” network).

If Your Nüday is Not Updating

The calendar uses very little power. Some USB power supplies mistake this for “no device connected” and switch themselves off (common with phone chargers). If the display stops updating, plug it into a standard USB power supply or powered USB hub.
